Can you see this image? Are you able to, isn’t it breaking your heart? This picture is not of a mummy or any AI creation. This shows the condition of Gaza.
What are those people going through we have no idea, only because we are sitting safely in our houses with families without the worry of shelter and food.
Israel has left no stone unturned to destroy this place. Let’s study their condition through an awful incident that happened recently. Continue reading the post to know more!
What all Palestine has going through?
We all know the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine and how worse it is getting with time. Israel has left them for none.
The Palestinians were forced to leave their shelters, and the process of food has also stopped.
Related to this one incident that recently went viral. Yes! We are talking about a small nine year boy Yazan Kafarneh who lost his life due to lack of malnutrition during Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza.
He was the son of the Sharif family where his father Sharif Kafarneh, mother Marwa and three siblings. He was the eldest sibling among them.
Just imagine it was so tough for his parents to see his child like this when they were helpless. They can’t help their son to come out of such a bizarre situation.
His skin was pallid, he was only left with bones and skin moreover looking like a skeleton. This clearly shows that they were living in such a condition which is not for human habitation.
The family of Yazan has seen his death with eyes, it wasn’t a sudden incident but happened gradually with time. His body was slowly degrading day after another.
And then the time came when he was left with only bones and skin. His father helplessly saw everything so closely yet was unable to do anything.
Heart Throbbing details by a father
The boy was suffering from a congenital illness in which one had to consume a special diet to be healthy. Under such conditions where getting basic food was a task, it was difficult to arrange a special diet.
Israel was doing its best to prevent food from reaching the people in Gaza. People there are starving for food.
Sharif said that their family used to live in Beit Hanoun but they were told to move to Jabalia refugee camp. After that, they were threatened to leave that place also.
When they left for Gaza City, the occupation forced them to live in the south and we did so.

His son was not in a better condition for which they migrated but if this wasn’t the situationI would have never left the home.
Yazan was suffering from a congenital form of muscular atrophy in which the ability to move and talk reduces if proper food is not given.
Food never became an issue for us before the war, I take pride as a taxi driver who never failed to feed his family sufficiently.
My child didn’t need much, only food high in nutritional value which is very basic. Yazan had to have milk with bananas every day at night without fail.
In the absence of milk, he can also consume bananas. This is what doctors told us. Is it too much to ask? Before the war, we were managing everything.
But, after that, it became difficult to get even one banana. For lunch, we have to give him boiled vegetables and fruits blended in a mixer. As we lacked electricity and also had no fruits or vegetables left. We couldn’t even give him that.
For breakfast, Yazan has to consume eggs to fulfil the need for protein. But as I said, due to war the Rafah city had left with nothing. No eggs, no fruits or vegetables and no bananas, nothing!
The needs of my son were never an issue or big deal for us. We loved to take care of him also he was the spoiled child of the family. Even his siblings used to adore him.
Some charitable societies used to visit our place in Beit Hanoun before the war to offer various treatments like physical therapy and speech therapy. On the whole, Yazan was living a happy life.
Depleting Condition of Yazan
The family spared no effort to take care of Yazan all through the war. They managed things which were out of their hands, like finding alternatives to the food he needed to survive.
His father mentioned how they had to replace bananas with halawa, and eggs with bread soaked in tea to balance his nutritional values. We never gave up on trying.
Along with the food he had to have some medicines to keep his body alive and mobile so that he could crawl in the home. But during the second week of the war, the medicines were not available.
Due to irregular consumption of medicines and proper food, his health took a drastic turn and became even worse. His body was going through several changes and he became thinner and thinner.
The place they were living in was not suitable for humans, they couldn’t survive longer in those camps. As they had no facilities.
His worse condition was getting out of hand so they decided to take him to al-Najjar hospital in Rafah. To give him proper treatment but during those eleven days, there was no improvement in his condition.
Even after taking him to hospital, they couldn’t do much for our child, they only arranged the IV fluids and when the situation became worse the hospital staff placed a feeding tube in his nose.
Dr. Muhammad al-Sabe is a pediatric surgeon in Rafah, who was handling the Yazan’s case. The illness Yazan was going through needs constant care and special treatment.
Due to war, he couldn’t get medicines, daily physical therapy, or nutritional food. He tried hard, very hard to survive but he failed. His family lost the charm.
If things didn’t change, and stayed the way they are, then we’re going to witness many more deaths among children.
Whatever the issue is, no way children and civilians have a hand in that, both places should solve the disputes among themselves and let the people live.
All over the globe people are supporting Gaza or Palestinians in their own way and after knowing so much I feel we all should support them and help Gaza be a safe place.
