Palestine and Israel
The rise of war & Continuity
Do you know that the war between Israel and the Palestinian people is one of the longest-running and also the most violent disputes over the globe.
Sounds disturbing, right? Well! It is. The war between Palestine and Israel is older than a century. The war has continued in sequences and becoming worse and worse with time.
There have been several reasons why the spark turned into fire. But the most recent dispute was for Jerusalem.
Yes! Jerusalem is counted as one of the oldest cities around the globe, also it is considered to be holy of three main religions; Abrahamic, Christianity, and Islam.
So, both Israel and Palestine see this as their capital city. Israel keeps its primary governmental institutions there, and Palestine forecasts it as its seat of power. But none of the details are claimed by legitimate sources.
Now, the dispute is all about Israel, which already has power over West Jerusalem and also engaged East Jerusalem In the war of 1967 and later declared the complete city as their capital, no partitions are acceptable.
Where Palestine claims East Jerusalem as their future capital state. The population living in East Jerusalem is mostly palestinian apart from the few.
The people are not really interested in becoming Israeli citizens. For a clear understanding, I must tell you that East Jerusalem is only occupied by Israel.
But, the International community does not claim to be a part of it. Now, you all must be wondering why it is the center of attraction.
The holiest place– for Muslims is Al Aqsa Mosque or Haram al-Sharif, and for Jews, the Temple Mount is situated in “East Jerusalem.”
Now, you’re clear about the matter and for what they all are fighting. Still, the UN and most international opinions examine East Jerusalem as a part of Palestine, just taken over by Israel.

Jimmy Carter’s Contribution to the Peace of Palestine
Carter was in the right direction when he decided to stand against the wrongdoing and resolve the conflict between Israel and Palestine. Carter spoke loudly for the rights of Palestine and wanted them to be given their rights.
Not only this, he is often seen talking about the motivation he got from Israel and his wish to see them survive, one thing he could not believe is that if they continue to oppress the Palestinians, then they can do anything.
Carter knows and often expressed, that Jewish people have gone through so much in the past all through the history and has immense sympathy for them.
But the thing is, whatever hard times Jewish have seen, they can’t oppress the innocents who weren’t a part of it. Also, the initiation of an ethnocentric apartheid state would not cut the switch of harm caused to Jews.
These were his thoughts which he expressed clearly in his book, apart from the fact that this doesn’t stand in his policies as president.
